Count Metal Sheets

This Guide walks you through the steps to count metal sheets using the CountThings from Photos app.
For each type of object to be counted, you need to add the right Counting Template to your device.
You only need to select the Counting Template once, before counting multiple photos of the same item type.
Step 1 - Adding a Counting Template Tap on the Templates button (on the bottom menu)
Select the Metal sheets ID: 076 Counting Template by tapping on the GET button. When multiple Counting Templates for similar items are available, use the one "Recommended" first. Later you can explore other Counting Templates to identify the one that works best for your needs.
Step 2 - Take a Photo Verify that your selected template is shown on the main screen.

Then Take a photo of a stack of sheet metal you would like to count.
Step 3 - Optional: Define Area of Interest Note: In most cases the app will automatically recognize the area from which to count without selecting an area.
Defining an area of interest is optional, but may be useful in some cases, it allows you to count only a portion of the image.

Make sure the "Include" button is selected.
Hold down your finger and drag around the area.
For more details, see the following guide: Define Count Areas
Step 4 - Optional: Define the Object Size Note: In most cases the app will automatically recognize the size of a metal sheet.
The size of each layer will be between the 2 circles. Select the closest object size to your use-case (All, Small, Medium, Large)
Step 5 - Count Tap Count.
Step 6 - Review the Results - Make Modifications if Necessary Note: In most cases the app will automatically recognize the size of a metal sheet.
