Customize Forms with CSV/Excel Integration

Disponível para:
The Form feature allows you to capture data related to your counted objects, import data related to your items from CSV/Excel files and export the created Form to a new CSV file.
By following this guide, you will learn to integrate a CSV/Excel file in your Form, to sync the imported values, how to export the Form in a CSV file and how to use your created Form in the counting process.
Integrate a CSV/Excel file in your Form
1. Create the Form
Home ScreenSettingsForms ➜ Click +NEW FORM ➜ Give a relevant name to your Form in Form Title (e.g. Metal products) ➜ Click Ok.
If you’re not familiar with our Form feature, visit Create and Customize Forms guide.
2. We want to import multiple values from our CSV/Excel file, so we will add Dropdowns in our Form:
Click +ADD FIELD ➜ From Values click the Dropdowns’ “+”Close
If you want to import more values from you CSV/Excel file, click the “+” button from Dropdown multiple times. In our example we added 6 dropdowns – 3 for values from an Excel file and 3 for the values from another Excel file.
3. Import values from your file in the Form
A. Select the first Dropdown (when selected, the Dropdown field has a blue background)
B. From Info ➜ Description ➜ Give your Drowdown a relevant name (e.g. Product).
C. From Properties ➜ uncheck Reset with new image.
D. From Import Values from ➜ Select CSV/Excel ➜ Click Import.
E. After you opened your Excel in the app ➜ Select the column to import (e.g. Product) ➜ Click Ok.
This is how you import a value form your CSV/Excel file in the Form. You can repeat the process for each value you need from your file/files.
In our example we added Product, Size and Length from an Excel file and Client, Phone Number and Company name from another Excel file.
Sync the imported values in the Form
When you sync the imported values in the Form, you won’t have to manually adjust every value when counting. This feature also comes in help when you have values from multiple files integrated in your form and you want them to sync together or separately.
4. In our example, we want to sync Product with Size and Length. In this case, we will:
A. Select the first dropdown (e.g. Product).
B. From Properties ➜ check Sync in Form.
C. Sync Group ID will appear under Import Values from ➜ add a Group ID (e.g. 1).
D. Repeat the process for the other Dropdowns. (e.g. Size and Length).
Every Dropdown that has Sync in Form checked and a Group ID added, will sync in the Form in the counting process. You can give different generic Group ID’s for each values you want to sync.
5. We also want to sync in our form the values Client, Phone Number and Company Name, without interfering with the group of values synced above, at point 4.
A. Select the fourth dropdown. (e.g. Client).
B. From Properties ➜ check Sync in Form.
C. Sync Group ID will appear under Import Values from ➜ add another Group ID (e.g. 2).
D. Repeat the process for the other Dropdowns left. (e.g. Phone Number and Company Name).
Now we made sure that the first three dropdowns (Product, Size, Length) have the Group ID 1, and the rest of the dropdowns (Client, Phone Number, Company Name) have the Group ID 2 - we are ready to use out form in the counting process.
Don’t forget to Save & Exit ➜ Save again after you created and customized your Form.

6. If we want to export in a CSV file all the counted results with the imported data:
