CountThings from Photos is an automatic counting app that counts items by detecting objects in photos.

Get Familiar with the app

Draw a few circles on a piece of paper.

Open the app and tap Create Account or Continue as Guest.
(In this example, we continued as guest.)

Tap START to begin the Test Count

On the Home Screen, tap Camera and take a photo of your circles.

Tap CONTINUE to Confirm Template & Photo

First Count Complete! pop-up will appear. Tap OK.

Review the results and tap SAVE if you want to save your result photo.

Tap Home to end the practice count and return to Home Screen.
That’s it — your first count is complete.

Get Started

What you need to know: The app uses Counting Templates to identify what to count, with each template designed for a specific type of object. For example, to count pipes, you would use the Pipes Template. To count rebars, you would select the Bars & Rebars Template. It’s that easy!
We can also create custom templates using your sample images to ensure accurate counting for your business.
Let's look at a real-life example: counting metal bars.

On the Home Screen, tap CHANGE COUNTING TEMPLATES.

Tap Get More Templates to open the Counting Templates Library.

Pay attention to the additional info regarding choosing Templates ➜ tap NEXT.

In the Templates Library ➜ Tap the Templates Category of your interest to browse through templates or simply type the name of the items you want to count in the search bar ➜ Tap Get on the Template you want to use (e.g. Bars & Rebars)

In Home Screen, tap Camera to take a photo of your products or tap Photo to select an image from your gallery.

The items in your photo will be automatically counted.

Review the results and tap SAVE if you want to save your result photo.

Tap Home button to return to Home Screen and continue counting.
