Let’s explore the Prepare Screen – an optional screen where you can prepare your photo before counting.
What you see on the Prepare screen
The toolbar at the bottom has the following buttons:
- AArea ➜ choose which part of the photo to count.
- BTools ➜ more tools for the photo.
- CCOUNT ➜ count the items in the photo.
- DForms ➜ fill out a form for this count.
A. Area
Tap Area to open the count area tools. Use them when the photo shows more items than the ones you want to count.
- 1INCLUDE ➜ draw around the items you want to count. Items outside the area are not counted.
- 2EXCLUDE ➜ draw around the items you do not want to count.
- 3Delete ➜ remove the count areas and start again.
B. Tools
Tap Tools to open the Tools menu with tools such as Measure, Edit Photo, Clear Markers, New and Open. Tap Customize to choose which tools the menu shows.
C. COUNT
Tap
COUNT to count the items. The
Review screen opens with the result.
D. Forms
Tap
Forms to open
Fill Out Forms and complete the forms set up for your account for this count. Learn more:

Customize Prepare screen
1. From the Home screen, go to Settings ➜ Customize Screens ➜ Prepare Screen.
2. Choose the options you need:

| Keep/Skip Prepare screen |
Keep ➜ the Prepare screen opens before every count.
Skip ➜ the app counts right after you take or choose a photo. |
| Show Form button |
Shows the Forms button. |
| Show Tools button |
Shows the Tools button. |
| Expand Count Area |
Opens the Area tools automatically, so INCLUDE and EXCLUDE are visible right away. |
Restore the default settings
1. From the Home screen, go to Settings ➜ Customize Screens.
2. Tap Restore Default Settings. The Prepare screen and the other screens go back to their default settings.
