What are Counting Templates and how to use them

This is why the CountThings from Photos app is designed to suit your business needs by using Counting Templates.
What Is a Counting Template?
A Counting Template tells the app what to count in a photo. Each template is developed to recognize and count a specific type of object. Using the Counting Template that corresponds with your items is essential for achieving the best counting results.
Examples
  • To count pipes, use the Tubes & Pipes Counting Template.
  • To count square tubes, use the Square Tubes Counting Template.
  • To count rebars, use the Bars & Rebars Counting Template.
Why Do I Need a Counting Template?
Each Counting Template is trained using photos collected from real-world industrial environments. Instead of trying to identify every possible object, CountThings focuses on one object type at a time, helping deliver consistent, accurate counting results.
This specialized approach also allows our engineers to continuously improve existing Counting Templates and develop customized solutions for unique counting applications or production environments.

Easy to use!
1. On the Home Screen, tap Change Counting Template.
2. Tap Get More Templates from the "Counting Templates Library".
3. Browse the available categories or use the search bar to find the type of item you want to count (for example, Bars & Rebars).
4. Tap Get under the Counting Template you want to use.
5. After the template is downloaded, you'll automatically return to the Home Screen, where you can start counting using your camera or a photo from your gallery (e.g. we started a counting process using the CAMERA button).
You can always return to Template library to explore more Templates and make sure you find the best match between your items and the Counting Template you are using.
Choosing the Counting Template that best matches your objects is one of the most important factors in achieving accurate counting results.
