Manual Counting

With Manual Counting, you capture a photo within the “CountThings from Photos” app and manually tag each object you wish to count by tapping on it. Because it’s a DEMO template, you can easily use it without having to pay for a license. Once the count is complete, you can export the tagged results photo along with any other data.
How does Manual Counting work?
With Manual Counting you take a photo using the “CountThings from Photos app” and manually tag each item you want to count by tapping on it. Using this template you also have the option to use the “Form Builder” to fill in a custom form with relevant information depending on the reason you’re counting. Once the count is complete, you can export the results photo along with any kind of data. To control how and where your data is saved, enable the settings from “Saving & Integration”.
What are tags?
Each tag is a sequentially numbered circle placed on the object, with the app keeping a running total displayed at the top of the screen. You can easily change the tags size using the slider from the “Size” tool.
Note: To use Manual Counting, download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. On the initial screen, opt for the guest option to use the app without creating an account.
1. Select the Manual Counter (ID:414) template from the Template Library.

2. Tap "TAKE NEW PHOTO" ➜ Capture the items you want to count.
3. In the Review Screen you will see the "Add" button already selected ➜ Tap on an item to count it.
4. To make the counting process easier, after you add a tag ➜ Select "Size" and use the slider to adjust the tag size to your preferences.
5. Tap with your finger on the items from your photo to count them.
6. If you want to delete tags, there are three options:
  • Use "Delete" from Tag Corrections by tapping on the tags you want to delete.
  • Use the Manual selection by tapping each tag you want to delete.
  • Use the Area selection by selecting the tags from the area you want to delete.
Note: to get a better view of the tags, you can zoom or pan the photo using your fingers.

7. After counting every item ➜ Tap “SAVE”.
